Daily Shark Cage Diving Blog 10 December 2019
We headed off to our summer working area at Joubert se dam and dropped anchor around 09:00 am. After the cage was put in the water and secured to the boat, the safety briefing was done and dress the divers in wetsuits. Soon the Bronze Whalers appeared around the boat. We put the divers into the cage and started to bring the sharks closer. The water was a chilling 13 degrees and though the divers braced the cold as long as possible, they eventually climbed out to enjoy some hot chocolate. Total sharks for the day was slightly less due to the colder water, but we still saw about 30 individuals.
